A real family's library
A new story every night. Scroll inside the phone, or tap a cover.
How it works
Ten minutes of tapping and talking. Who the kids are, what they love, how you parent.
A win, a meltdown, a new word. Anyone in the family can add to it, Grandma too. Skip a day and the story still comes.
By 6, an email with tonight's story. Read it on your iPad, iPhone or tablet, or, for kids 4 and up, let it read itself out loud. One lesson, shown, never preached.
The bedtime quiz
Pick one to start. About ten minutes, and your first month is free.
New: stories that read themselves
Stories for kids 4 and up come with their own audio. Read it together, let it read along with you, or press play and dim the lights. Stories for babies and toddlers are made to be read together.
The pages on your phone or iPad. You read, they look at the pictures.
Tap Listen. A calm voice reads each page and turns it for you.
Press play, set the phone down, lights low. It plays like an audiobook.
Two voices to pick from, warm or gentle. Switch any night.

From early families
Why this exists
We own a lot of books. We read the same three.
None of them know that Mav shared his favorite trucks today, or that Rivie learned gentle hands with the dog. So I built one that does. Journal what happened, and tonight's story is about it.

The math
A picture book costs about $17 and tells the same story every time. Big Adventures writes a new one about your kids, from your day.
No credit card. Nothing to cancel. When the paid plan starts, we'll ask you first.
Questions
Yes. Big Adventures will be $14.99 a month at launch. Early families get their first month free, up to 20 stories. No credit card, nothing to cancel. When the paid plan starts, we'll ask before anything changes.
Most story apps make up a story and drop your kid's name in. Ours starts with your family's day. Tell the Daily Journal what happened, and tonight's story teaches the lesson in it, starring your kids, your pets and your people.
A quick note about today, typed or spoken. A win, a meltdown, a new word, an old family memory. Anyone can add to it, grandparents too. Skip a day and the story still comes.
Yes, for kids 4 and up. Their stories have their own audio. Read it together, tap Listen and it reads each page and turns it for you, or pick Just listen and press play. Two voices, warm or gentle. Stories for babies and toddlers have no audio. Little ones learn from your voice and your face, so those are made to be read together.
Sized to their age. A minute or two for babies and toddlers, 3 to 4 minutes for 3-year-olds, and 6 to 7 minutes for big kids. Long enough to settle in, short enough for a real bedtime. Kids 4 and up also get a longer version to just listen to, about 10 to 15 minutes, for nights when the lights are already off.
Five nights a week to start, Sunday to Thursday. Switch to every night, three nights, or only the nights you journal. A link lands in your inbox by 6.
No. Your library is a private link. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app on your phone or iPad.
Babies up to about 9. Little ones get short stories with lots of repeating. Big kids get longer adventures with a real lesson in them.
Your library has its own unlisted link. Photos are used only to draw your kids, never shared or sold. Want it all deleted? Tell Peter and it's gone.

Tap a few answers, then talk about your kids. About ten minutes. Your first stories are free.
We'll text you a private link when the first stories are ready. After a couple of weeks we'll ask what you'd change and what it's worth to you. In the meantime, think about what the kids did today. That's your first journal entry.
